Event Policies

The deadline is 12:00 am CST on the deadline date. To remain PCI compliant the NJG is no longer able to accept registrations by phone or email and no late registrations will be accepted.

In the event of the competition being oversubscribed, the order of alternate players will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis within the division of openings.  This will be done immediately after the closing date for entries.  All unsuccessful entrants will be notified without delay, but may be given an opportunity to compete if withdrawls subsequently occur within division.  Entry fees will be refunded to those entrants on the waiting list who do not make it into the tournament.

The same policy applies to TEAM GOLF with an entire team waiting list.

Information concerning pairings, starting times, etc., will be posted on the website no later than 2 days after the tournament entry deadline. Email notifications will not be sent to tournament registrants. This form of communication becomes difficult as many email providers have different spam filters and reliability.

Generally speaking, registration will be held at the tournament site starting approximately 60 minutes prior to the first tee time.  Participants must register at the designated registration area prior to the first round.  Players must then report to their starting tee 10 minutes prior to their starting time.

If you contact the NJG prior to an event deadline, you are eligible for a refund.  Following a deadline, fee will be refunded in the case of injury or illness if requested prior to the event.  No refunds will be given for any reason after the start of an event.

Prior to a deadline, your fee may be applied to another event.  After a deadline, fees are not transferable.

A $10 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

NJG recommends that players always double-check their tee time.  The penalty for failure to show up on time is two-strokes or possible disqualification.  (Please refer to USGA Rule 6-3 for more information.)

Players will be notified, via, of their tournament status (secured a spot in the starting field or on the waiting list) no later than five (5) days before the start of the tournament.  It is the player's responsibility to log on to the NJGT website to check the starting field and write down their starting time and/or tee. Registration for all events closes at 12:00 am CST on the deadline date.
